If you are a college student, faculty or staff member and interested in becoming a mentor to a young person between the ages of 8-16, please consider mentoring! Social Work Student Alliance Members participate in community service events hold career planning and placement workshops for job-hunting students, volunteer at local agencies, invite guest speakers and network with professionals!

"Fair in the Square" April 2005 Social Work Student Projects 2004-2006>>>>>> On Saturday April 16, 2005 the Social Work Student Alliance hosted “The Fair in the Square” event in downtown Tuskegee. More that 500 people attended the event! Children from Tuskegee schools and day care centers were treated to games, arts and crafts and fun stuff! Based on the number of people who attended the event it clearly shows that “family oriented” events in our community are much needed. As a macro-level community service project it shows what Tuskegee University Department of Social Work students can do when they set their minds to it. This event would not have been the success that it was were it not for the efforts of all students who participated. A special thanks goes to all the students who participated in the event as Volunteers!
